Three-Part Literary Work “Deissyio: A New Romantic Philosophy of Love” is coming in Late May! It features philosophical poems, a philosophical tract & a short story of near-Biblical proportions.

Demi Monina, the author of Deissyio, is A philosopher-poet seeking to share the the Light of Love philosophers feel and cognise in the form of a series of explicitly philosophical poems, a short story and a theological tract (these three works forming the contents of my book Deissyio) that explores the very empowering notion of God within and as the human Heart, or universal Godhood and human divinity!

Bridge between Philosophy and Poetry is explored

Stylistically the work is highly eclectic, in mixing styles form all the ages to create a unique synthesis.

Not only does this work mix styles together, but blends different traditions and philosophical backgrounds together.

PHILOSOPHICAL POETRY:

Whilst a lot of themes are shared across Poetry and Philosophy in history and to a degree in contemporary poetry, Deissyio foregrounds philosophy in poetry in unique and compelling ways.

PHILOSOPHICAL TRACT

Much of our philosophical traditions are steeped in rationalism, where this Afterword to the poetry section turns the philosophical enterprise on its head, this level, somewhat.

SHORT STORY:

This story entitled “The Power of The Eye” charts the descent of Deissyio, the outcast in society riddled with corruption, down the Bottomless Pit of Philosophy on towards discovering the deepest truth about human nature and subjectivity. It draws influence from Dante’s Inferno for the concept of a multilevelled pit, which is a rich figurative sort of idea.
